Location

Located in the most private and reserved area within Costa Smeralda, in Sardinia, and facing the Maddalena Islands, Villa ‘Li Ruini’ is spread on 4 floors and counts 12 bedrooms with a capacity of 25 hosts. The villa is part of a comprehensive group of 12 luxury villas of unreadable beauty, with a private pool, all facing the sea and built respecting the surrounding natural environment in which they are fully integrated.

But how to translate the identity of a significantly huge villa – which combines new and luxury finishes as well as furniture – with the natural elements of the wonderful and significant Italian landscape? Therefore how to combine natural artwork and interior design in an effortless style? Let’s discover our interpretation of a Sardinian villa by paying homage to nature’s beauty.

Construction "Fun fact"

Due to the beauty of the mountains where the house is anchored, the project aimed to bring the outdoor environment inside the house. This design goal resulted in connecting and placing a real mountain wall, cleaned and sanitized, in the indoor spa area. This is the beginning of a luxury pool that, starting from indoor, continues till the outside transforming into an infinity feature.

Inspired by the beauty of the mountains, the beautiful landscape can be admired while staying indoors or outdoors when using the intern or extern pool and spa area. With typical aspects of the region – such as a Sardinian nurhag which is a specific type of an ancient megalithic edifice – you can literally breath in historic atmosphere with luxury character and flair.

Distribution And Furniture

Whilst developing the project together with the design studio of the architect Giulio Cappellini, Interni now provided also textiles and furniture connecting the colors of the natural stone wall as well as capturing the color gradient of the beautiful view towards the seaside.

The entire house on several levels – excluding the surrounding by a lush garden of 10,000 square meters – is furnished with sleek and classy pieces from Italian luxury brands such as Baxter, Edra, Penta light and Poltrona Frau.

Materials

Willing to satisfy the desire of the client to have timeless furniture and interiors, finishes and materials like our exclusive Carrara marble are a big component of Villa Li Ruini.

While preserving the typical Sardinian architecture with exposed stone, inside the classic local canons have been distorted, introducing a new linear and contemporary architectural style, which clean lines marked by large windows from which to appreciate the breathtaking view.
