Apartment in Shanghai
A typical Chinese home made of a series of tiny but bright rooms spread onto 3 floors and linked together.
Geometric and simple lines together with light and soft materials are the best solution to harmonize some impactful design masterpieces and modern art pieces.
- Type: Interiors custom project
- Designer: Intnow design team
- Status: Completed
- Brand selected: B&B Italia, Boffi, Cappellini, FG Art&Design, Venini
Canasta round sofa B&B
This was the first time that Patricia decided to design an ultra-decorative, handmade collection. It is in contrast with the other B&B Italia products, which are strongly recognised for being pure example of industrial design.
Dives Sofa B&B Italia
The ultimate sofa: the depth cm 89 is enhanced by the armrest that has a taut cover on the outside and a quilted effect on the inside inspired.
Fazzoletto vase Venini
“A new take on the Opalini technique from the 15th century makes its colour unique. The genius of Fulvio Bianconi makes its shape inimitable.”
This 3-storey apartment is part of an old colonial area of Shanghai, called French concession. The project was submitted in 2015, after 6 months of design development due to a strong reinforcement of the building’s structure.
The main characteristic of this building is to be composed by tiny but very bright spaces. The stairs are the focal point of the home and our team wanted to highlight them by using light materials and transparent details. This was the best design solution to embed the stairs with the kitchen on the first floor and the living room on the second, both designed as open spaces.
The kitchen is a Boffi one and it defines the space with an impactful island paired with local modern art pieces and design masterpieces. Finally, on the third floor is located the night-area, furnished with a wonderful round shape bed by Redaelli and a jacuzzi bath beside it.
